The EHCoI Film Screening: The True Cost

On Wednesday July 22nd, 2015, the EHCoI hosted it’s summer film screening at the Ontario Veterinary College. We were excited to have 8 people at the film, including 3 community members, and 4 first time EHCoI Event attenders!

Description: “ ‘The True Cost’ us a groundbreaking new documentary film that pulls back the curtain on an unseen part of our world and asks us each to consider, who pays the price for our clothing?

Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums and features interviews with the world’s leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth, Vandana Shiva and many more. This unprecedented project invites us all on an eye opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.”

The EHCoI also hosted the Infographics Symposium on January 16th, 2015. More than 70 attendees came though to see infographics by students trained by the EHCoI.

EHCoI President is an International Ambassador for One Health EcoHealth 2016 in Melbourne!

EHCoI President and PhD Student Kate Bishop-Williams has been selected as an International Ambassador for the One Health EcoHealth Congress 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

Kate was selected for her commitment to EcoHealth, as demonstrated by her various roles in the EcoHealth field. You can learn more about Kate here.

Kate’s primary roles leading up to the conference are promotion of the conference; national relationship building with vendors, sponsors and attendees; and contributing to the development of an outstanding scientific program at the Congress.

The EHCoI is excited to know we will be represented at the OHEH2016 in Melbourne! We hope more gryphons will attend as well!
